We first opened our doors back in 2013 in the vibrant suburb of Fitzroy, in Victoria, quickly becoming the #1 Mexican restaurant in the area and a favourite among locals. Over the years, our love for fresh, vibrant, and delicious Mexican food has taken us across Victoria, with over 20 venues, including four in regional areas, and a few interstate locations. Now, for the first time, we’re bringing the fiesta to New South Wales!
Newtown marks an exciting new chapter for Hecho en Mexico, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share our signature flavours with Sydney. From bold margaritas to mouthwatering tacos, burritos, nachos, and more, our menu is packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients made in-house daily. But it’s not just about the food, we’re all about creating a fun, lively space where everyone feels welcome. We take pride in using only the freshest quality ingredients for creating our selection of Mexican dishes, including our in-house made fresh salsas, guacamole, and marinades.
Our extensive menu contains: entrees, tacos, burritos, mains, burgers, salads and dessert. The menu is kid friendly and designed to offer gluten free and vegan options.
Our beloved drinks menu includes a generous selection of margaritas, cocktails, wine, sangria, beer, mocktails, and the true Mexican booze – tequila.
We have revamped our popular bottomless brunch! This refreshed Bottomless Brunch 2.0 offering now includes 2 options: the Original and the more affordable Lite version.
The Lite option, priced at $75 per person, includes unlimited drinks and one main meal, available at 12 pm and 1 pm for 70 minutes.
The Original option, priced at $85 per person, offers unlimited drinks and unlimited tacos, [excluding birria and pastor], available at 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm for 90 minutes.
Both options feature your fav drinks: Classic margaritas, Classic sangria, Pink paloma, House red/white wine, and house beer, and will be available every Saturday and Sunday.
